Sick kids receive surprise visit

A group of Casey Grammar students dressed in wacky costumes visited Monash Children’s Hospital last week to cheer up patients as part of Book Week celebrations.

Fourteen students, who participated in the ‘Matilda the Musical’ production, performed three songs in the foyer before heading up to the starlight lounge where they performed again on the Starlight Network, a television channel broadcast to the patients rooms.

It meant those too unwell to join the celebrations in the foyer were able to experience the fun-filled show.

School staff said it was an incredibly rewarding experience and hope another opportunity presents itself again.
