A BERWICK resident is aghast as to what has become of her suburb after a water feature was stolen from her front yard.
Linda Velickovic was frustrated and angry that a section of the ornament, a Christmas present from her mother, had been taken on Saturday night.
“What is Berwick coming to these days when a home owner can’t have special garden ornaments in their own front yard without it being concreted down,” Ms Velickovic said.
“Maybe it is a bit naive of me to think that it would never be touched,” she said.
It had been at the front of her Bounty Way property for three years, Ms Velickovic said, however cautioning that her street was otherwise peaceful and without problems.
“It is just so annoying that you can’t have something in your front yard to enjoy,” she said.
“The brazen thieves should be ashamed of themselves,” she said.
