Suspicious fire investigated

A suspicious fire, which took hold in a shed in Narre Warren North is now being investigated by police.

A total of eight CFA trucks responded to a premises at the corner of Hallam-Belgrave Road and Narre Warren North Road just before 12.40am on Friday morning.

It’s understood the fire was contained within minutes but police were called due to the suspicious nature of the blaze.

A 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman both managed to evacuate the building uninjured.

The investigation into the exact cause of the blaze remains ongoing.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, or with information is urged to contacted Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 00.
