BOOKWORMS at Eumemmerring College were treated to visits from two published authors recently.
Students at the Gleneagles campus welcomed Cath Crowley and Michael Gerard Bauer to their school and took part in various writing workshops as part of Children’s Book Week.
Year 7 and 8 students took part in a book character parade with prizes given out to the best dressed.
Librarian Lynne Moller said the visits from the two authors had inspired many students. “It is a wonderful opportunity for our students to work with a published author and develop new skills to enhance their own writing techniques,” Ms Moller said.
“It’s a great way to encourage and promote the joy of reading.”
