A NARRE Warren woman was killed after being hit by a car on Monday night.
Avril Thompson, 42, was walking her dog at about 6.50pm when she was struck while crossing Narre Warren North Road.
Police said Ms Thompson died while being transported to The Alfred Hospital.
The driver of the car, a 39-year-old Narre Warren man, was interviewed by police and later released.
He was not injured in the collision.
Major Collision Investigation Unit officers are continuing to investigate the incident.
Police said they would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the collision.
