BOOKWORMS at a Berwick school dressed up as their favourite Australian book characters during an assembly celebrating Awesome Aussie Authors.
Parents and friends went along to the Timbarra Primary School event, which was run by the student leadership team to celebrate Australian authors and illustrators.
Entertainment for the guests included a prep students’ performance of the puppet show Where is the Green Sheep, by Mem Fox, and a grade one and two students’ rendition of Land of the Green and Gold.
Seven students received certificates for entering in the school’s Awesome Aussie Authors book cover competition.
