Casey hands out arts grants

CASEY council will give $15,582 in arts grants to community organisations as part of the City of Casey’s arts and cultural grants program.
The program aims to encourage and support the development of new arts and cultural opportunities or to enhance existing activities and services across the City of Casey.
The Berwick Artists Society will receive $600 for the 2008 Spring Art Exhibition while Berwick Primary School will get $780 towards The Story of the Bunurong People project.
Casey Comps will celebrate with $4400 for the Dandenong Eisteddfod of Dance.
The Doveton Neighbourhood Learning Centre will get $3000 towards its art project while the Endeavour Hills Uniting Care Neighbourhood Centre will receive $1500 for the community photo art quilt.
Hampton Park Community House will receive $1000 for the Hampton Park Community Art Show.
The Chinese Xinjiang Senior Citizens will receive $800 for an arts exhibition and cultural concert, while the Villa Maria Berwick Aged Care facility will receive $3502.
