Kambrya College students Aaron Pitts,Larissa Wood and Nathan Richardson sampled life as a university student during a four-month program hosted by Monash University in Berwick and the South East Education Steering Committee.

THIRTEEN high achievers from Kambrya College sampled university life during a four-month program hosted by Monash University in Berwick and the South East Education Steering Committee.
The 2008 High Fives program brought together 90 of the region’s brightest students from Year 11 to meet, network and experience learning in a university environment. The students participated in academic challenges presented by some of Monash University’s leading academics.
One of the challenges included students collaborating with six third-year tourism students to create a crucial hypothetical planning decision for Berwick Village.
“I think the program was a great way for kids to network, particularly for kids who like the idea of the university community,” said Head of Maths at Kambrya College Sarah Day.
“Students enjoyed the presentations and they thought university lifestyle was very interesting and something they look forward to in the future.”
Other schools represented in the program include Beaconhills College, St Margaret’s School, Berwick Secondary College, St Francis Xavier College, Cranbourne Secondary College, Kooweerup Secondary College, and Eumemmerring College.
