No new infections of Covid-19 have been reported in Casey City over the past 24 hours, according to the state’s latest health data.
The city’s tally stood at 71 cases – with six active cases.
However, in nearby council areas, two new infections were confirmed in Greater Dandenong in the 24 hours to 11 June – after notching up 11 days of zero active cases.
Cardinia’s total coronavirus cases stood at 16 with zero active cases while Frankston had 40 overall – none of which were active cases.
In the past day, Victoria’s cases rose by eight to 1699. Of them, 1621 have recovered.
There have been 179 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Victoria that have been acquired through unknown transmission.
Currently six people are in hospital, including one patient in intensive care.
Of the new cases, one was detected through routine testing may have been infectious while attending the Black Lives Matter march in Melbourne on Saturday 6 June.
Anyone who attended the march is urged to remain vigilant and if symptoms develop should isolate at home and get tested as a matter of urgency.
One new case has been detected in a close contact of a case in the Rydges on Swanston outbreak. This brings the total number of cases linked to this outbreak in Victoria to 15.
One new case has been detected through routine testing of a former staff member from BUPA Aged Care in Clayton while one case has been detected in a toddler attending the Professor Lyn Corcoran Early Learning Centre in Parkville.Two were detected in returned travellers in hotel quarantine, while two cases remain under investigation.
