When police approached the car they found five passengers in the rear of the car and a front seat passenger.
The back-seat passengers, who will be issued penalty notices for failing to wear properly fastened and adjusted seatbelts, include a 17-year-old Berwick girl, 22-year-old Narre Warren man, 18-year-old Narre Warren woman and a 22-year-old Narre Warren North woman.
Police interviewed the 22-year-old Gembrook man who faces charges including four counts of reckless conduct endangering persons of death, four counts of reckless conduct endangering persons of serious injury, driving in a manner dangerous, careless driving (improper use of a vehicle) and improper use of a motor vehicle. The man tested positive for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.
He is expected to be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
