RSL rules the rinks

ROUND nine on Saturday saw the halfway mark of the RVBA pennant season and finds Cranbourne RSL Bowling Club on top of the ladder in division three, while the division five side is poised to climb into finals’ contention.

Cheltenham was never in the division-one game as the RSL team emerged victorious by 50 shots in another good, all-round team performance.
This week’s clash against second-placed Bentleigh is Cranbourne RSL’s next big challenge.
The Drummonds (Neil and Ryan) led the way with huge wins.

The RSL recorded a 29-shot triumph at home against Heathmont to move within striking distance of finals’ contention.
This week’s rematch with Narre Warren should be extremely competitive.

The RSL ladies RLBA pennant team continued the winning feeling around the club with a 34-shot win against Berwick to also climb the ladder.
The team will again be in the mix to play finals if it continues its good form.
