AN AMBULANCE officer has received minor injuries after a crash involving an ambulance and three other vehicles on the Monash Freeway this week.
Police said the ambulance officer was thrown from hisseat as he tended to a surgery patient in the rear of thevehicle just before 9am on Tuesday.
Senior Constable Marty Beveridge said the crash, in outbound lanes, was east of the Power Road overpass in Doveton.
Sen Const Beveridge told the News the freeway was closed until 10.20am, with the four lanes of stalled traffic resembling a “car park” after the incident. Several concrete barriers were also dislodged.
