Police investigate woman’s death

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Parkville.

Officers have been told a 23-year-old Berwick woman was crossing Elliot Avenue about 6.30pm on Friday 26 February.

A car travelling on Elliot Avenue collided with the pedestrian.

The Berwick woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition but later died.

The driver of the car, a 55-year-old Sunshine West man, was spoken to at the scene by police.
