FIREFIGHTERS rescued a woman who was trapped in a car for around 30 minutes after a smash in Berwick on Australia Day.
The Berwick Fire Brigade, ambulance and police were called to the scene on the corner of High Street and Clyde Road on Monday night.
Captain Alan Boyd told the News CFA crews from Dandenong used the jaws of life to cut the woman out of the car.
The intersection was blocked for an hour by police.
