MARKET-GOERS raced to the Old Cheese Factory last weekend for the Rotary Club of Berwick’s first Farmers Market for 2009.
Farm fresh and organic seasonal fruit, vegetables, herbs, spices, breads, honey, wines, olives, cheeses and jams were snapped up by more than 1500 shoppers.
Market manager Geoff Rankin said he was happy with the crowd numbers.
The market is held on the fourth Saturday of the month from 8am to 12.30pm at the Old Cheese Factory in Berwick. Entry fee is a gold coin donation.
