CHILDREN celebrated the Hampton Park Library’s fifth birthday during its free school holiday workshop.
The birthday-themed event attracted more than 20 children, from three to six years, on Wednesday 14 January.
The party-goers spent the afternoon reading birthday stories, playing party games and decorating party hats with feathers and streamers.
Officer-in-charge of the Hampton Park Library Carol Bathie told the News the library would be extended later this year due to an increase of more than 10,000 members.
“The plans are being drawn up as we speak and building will commence this year,” she said.
