Soccer plans pass to public

THE draft ‘Regional Soccer Strategy’ will be placed on community exhibition until the end of February.
The community can view the draft report, which will plan the future of soccer in the region, on Casey Council’s website or by visiting the council’s customer service centres and libraries.
Casey, Cardinia and Yarra Ranges have partnered with the Football Federation Victoria, with funding support from the State Government, to prepare the regional strategy.
Casey’s key directions for the plan include supporting new soccer pitches and the development of a regional facility at Casey Fields.
The regional facility will feature four synthetic pitches and a boutique stadium, with a high standard turf pitch, for more than 3500 spectators.
The final report, along with community feedback and recommendations for the strategy will be presented to the council after the exhibition period.
