Drive-through vaccine hub coming to south east

A drive-through vaccination hub has been announced for Melbourne’s south east.

The drive-through clinic will be established in either the City of Casey or Cardinia Shire.

Acting Covid-19 commander Naomi Bromley shared the update in the Premier’s press conference Friday 13 August.

She said it followed the “successful” opening of the Melton drive-through vaccination clinic on Sunday.

“We are looking at planning three additional drive through sites in Wyndham, up in the Hume/Whittlesea area and down in the south east in Casey or Cardinia,” Ms Bromley said.

“We are looking forward to providing more information on those soon.”

These sites are being established in partnership with community, local government and industry groups.

It was also announced that help reach the vaccine target, a new campaign was launched today, encouraging Victorians to get vaccinated quickly – to protect themselves, their loved ones, and the entire community.

Initially running across print and digital platforms, the campaign will expand to television and target different age groups as we move through the rollout.
