Charity concert

A COMMITTEE of councillors, local performers and community members is organising a charity concert for people affected by the bushfires.
River Gum Ward councillor Wayne Smith rallied up the troupes last Thursday night for a meeting at the council offices in Narre Warren to start planning the Black Saturday Bushfire Concert, Casey Cares – honouring our community heroes.
The concert will be held at Hillcrest Christian College on Saturday 4 April from 3pm to 10pm, with two performance stages featuring dancers, vocalists, bands and choirs. Entry will be by donation.
The committee wants helpers and performers to conctact them by Wednesday 25 February. Two security guards are also needed.
All proceeds go to the Mayoral Charity Fund to support the local emergency services organisations.
For more information call Wayne Smith on 0417 389 039.
