Casey Fields will host a Covid vaccination pop-up clinic this weekend.
The temporary clinic will be run at Melbourne Football Club’s indoor-training facility at 160 Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East from Friday 15 October-Sunday 17 October, 9am-5pm.
It will administer up to 1000 doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for over-12’s, with a mix of bookings and walk-ins.
The clinic is in response to Casey’s significant rise of Covid infections and lagging vaccination rates.
In the past week up to 14 October, total active cases surged from 1005 to 1643.
Meanwhile, 54.2 per cent of eligible Casey residents are double vaxxed – about 7 per cent below the state average.
The state’s Department of Health, alongside Monash Health, is running the pop-up centre.
It’s supported by the Melbourne Football Club, the City of Casey and Melbourne City FC.
Melbourne Football Club, the recently-crowned AFL premier, is encouraging visitors to wear their “Dees colours”.
Bookings can be made online at cvms.vic.gov.au or 1800 675 398 (press 0 for an interpreter).
