Time to help out

CLEAN up Casey by taking part in Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday 1 March.
Australians generate almost 32 million tonnes of rubbish each year.
Casey’s manager for engineering and environment, David Richardson, said Clean Up Australia Day was the perfect opportunity for everyone to come together and help clean up the local parks and waterways.
“Paper, cardboard, metal and most types of coded plastic can be recycled, while particularly disused building materials can also be re-used. Waste can be easily turned into a valuable resource,” he said.
Participants should bring gloves, a hat, sturdy shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen.
Registrations are now open and people can get involved or find out more by visiting www.cleanup.org.au or calling 1800 282 329.
