I’ve been lucky enough to travel to 36 different countries throughout Europe.
What are you most passionate about?
The Food and Hospitality industry. I live and breathe it.
What do you love about being a chef?
Cooking whatever I want for dinner.
What is your experience in the industry?
I started in the industry in 2007 at Ambrosias in Berwick as a kitchen hand. In 2009 I started my apprenticeship at Nush Restaurant in Guys Hill and finished it in 2010 at Forest Edge in Gembrook.
In 2011 I made the move to Melbourne, working at Taxi Dining Room/Taxi Kitchen through the ranks until Sous Chef.
In 2018 I moved back to Berwick to open and run the wine bar for OMY Restaurant in Beaconsfield.
I was lucky to stay with them until 2020, when the time came for me to do my own thing, and now here we are.
Who is the best person you’ve worked with?
I was very lucky to help and work alongside the World’s Top 50 Chefs as part of the MFWF in 2017 while working in Federation Square. That was pretty cool.
What would your last meal be?
Anything from the wood fire oven at Mum and Dad’s house.
What was your most memorable moment?
A highlight has been working on the MasterChef set at Taxi Kitchen, helping assist contestants who were cooking in our kitchen.
I got to meet one of the industry greats- Marco Pierre White, who was the celebrity chef that day.
What was your favourite subject in school?
Food tech! I had the best teacher Mrs Ward who pushed me into starting an apprenticeship as a chef.
What are you currently listening to, watching or reading?
Listening to podcasts that feature start-up businesses, microbreweries and people giving it a crack.
How would you describe your fashion sense?
Black, comfy and practical for the kitchen.
Have you had a pet that has made an impact on your life?
Yes, I have two King Charles Cavaliers, brothers Doug and Daz. They love to sleep just like Dad.
If you had to compete on MasterChef, what dish would you cook?
Chicken Parma, I haven’t seen it on there yet.
Where is your dream holiday destination?
The next place on my list is a food tour through Japan.
What were you like as a kid?
Always out on the Fyfe’s farm, riding dirt bikes and causing trouble until I started working in kitchens from about 13 years old.
What is your favourite colour and why?
Blue, the colour of my girlfriend’s eyes.
Do you consider yourself an extrovert or an introvert?
Both, based on time and place.
