HELEN Stone recently won a thrilling Cranbourne RSL Bowls Club ladies’ club championship over Jan Coate.
Stone romped to a 17-3 lead before Coate drew level at 23-all.
But Stone played two beautiful bowls two ends later to clinch the championship.
Stone also reached the second round of the Champion of Champions event.
She won her first-round match-up at Dandenong RSL Recreation Bowls Club in January before losing in the second round at Edithvale last month.
Ladies’ pennant finished this week and the club will compete in Division A1 for the third straight time next season.
Cranbourne RSL’s green is being replaced next month and the club’s presentation night is on Saturday, 18 April.
