SANTAstic Street lights up the night

A pair of Narre Warren locals are lighting up the night with their Christmas display on ‘SANTAstic Street’, which took an entire week to set up.

Once Adam Crabb’s partner Joanne said, ‘we’ll put up a few lights’, there was no going back.

“I took it to another level and over the past three years, it just got silly,” Mr Crabb said.

During coronavirus lockdowns, Mr Crabb has been busy creating homemade Christmas cut-outs which can be found throughout the display.

“I buy the pattern and work from there, cutting and painting,” he said.

“People like it and appreciate the effort.

“It’s there for everyone to come and take selfies and it’s a chance for the kids to get out and have some fun.”

Mr Crabb has added a touch of humour to his signs which have been placed throughout the front yard.

Social media and Christmas light competitions have helped spread the word about the display which is hidden away from the main road.

“Especially from this weekend – it will get quite busy,” Mr Crabb said.

SANTAstic Street can be found at 28 The Quays, Narre Warren.
