THE Narre Warren Arthritis and Self Help Group will receive a $640 funding boost from the State Government.
The grant will be used to purchase minor equipment and be put towards general running expenses.
Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley said the grant recognised the important service they provided to the community.
“People who are helping themselves and their families in a group context play an important role in the health-care system, and often need a bit of support,” she said.
“These self-help groups are composed of, and managed by, people who share a common chronic health condition, or have a family member who suffers from the condition.”
