A 60-year-old woman from Narre Warren has dyed her hair pink – because she can and wants to raise awareness of leukaemia.
Chris McColl dyed her hair this week to honour her brother-in-law, Robert Lindsey, who died of leukaemia on Australia Day, aged 69.
Ms McColl wants to raise $100 for the World’s Greatest Shave, and so far she has collected $50.
“I’m proud because I’m halfway to my target,” she said. “It’s a disgusting disease and we must find a cure.”
Anyone wishing to donate can call Chris McColl on 0408 179 501.
