Appeal for driver to come forward following fatal Hampton Park hit-run

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for the driver involved in a fatal hit-run collision in Hampton Park to come forward.

A 58-year-old cyclist sadly died following the collision, at the intersection of Hallam and Pound roads, on Thursday, 6 January at about 4.14am.

Detectives have released footage of the driver who failed to stop at the scene and left in a red 2010 Holden Cruze sedan which was later found destroyed by fire in Glen Waverley.

He was last seen in Maylands Crescent, then in Balmain Street.

Detectives are appealing for the driver to come forward and to those in the community who may also have information to call Crime Stoppers.
