Youth week set to flip right out

SKATEBOARDERS will be performing eye catching tricks while music enthusiasts belt out the tunes at the upcoming Rock‘n’Skate competition in Narre Warren.
The event, held at the Ray Bastin Reserve on Saturday 28 March, is a skate board competition and live music showcase to kick off the City of Casey’s National Youth Week for 2009.
The competition has three categories for the skateboarders including the junior division, for children 12 years and under, the teen division, for the 13 to 17 age group and the open divisions for skate boarders over the age of 18 years.
Rock‘n’Skate will run from 10.30am to 4.30pm and is a drug, alcohol and smoke free event.
Osprey Skate Boards are judging the competition, with first prize in each division being a complete skateboard setup.
Participants need to complete a registration form prior to the competition and pay a $5 registration fee.
The event will feature live music from Nancy Hazard, My Own Enemy, And Burn and Tomaki Jets.
