Gang sought after attacks

POLICE are on the hunt for a group of youths who attacked several men in Berwick last weekend.
Police said the youths, believed to be aged between 16 and 20 years, threatened and physically assaulted two youths on Friday at 11.15pm outside the shopping strip near Castello’s Hotel along Clyde Road.
Personal belongings including a wallet, phone and ipod, were stolen in the attack.
Detective Sergeant Garry Kear from the Narre Warren police station said the offending youths then jumped two other youths down Bemersyde Drive at about 12.15am on Saturday.
According to police, the youths demanded their belongings and when refused, they pushed, punched and kicked one of the victims to the ground.
The injured youth was taken to the Casey Hospital with concussion.
Police have video surveillance footage.
Detectives believe the offending youths were in the area for some time prior to the attacks and are asking any witnesses to come forward.
