ROCK ‘n’ Skate featured a skateboard competition with live music, amusements, food stalls and free give-aways.
The event, which kicked off the City of Casey’s National Youth Week, was held at the Ray Bastin Reserve in Narre Warren last Saturday.
The fierce competition was open to three categories, the junior division, for children 12 years and under, the teen division, and the open divisions for skateboarders over the age of 18 years.
First prize in each section was a complete skateboard setup from Osprey Skatebords, with the runners up receiving a copy of the 2009 Skate Park guide.
The line up of music acts included Nancy Hazard, And Burn, Tomaki Jets, and My Own Enemy. The event ran from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
