DETECTIVES are investigating a spate of burglaries onfishing tackle stores across Melbourne since December lastyear.
Police believe the attacks, in which 300 to 400 reels had been stolen, occurred at several businesses from Hoppers Crossing to Narre Warren
Police said that on each occasion the same type of reels had been stolen, with an estimated total value of between $300,000 and $400,000.
None of the reels will have their warranty documentation as the boxes have not been stolen.
