NARRE Warren North’s Jodie Curran and her fiancé Craig Debono are still in the running to win $10,000 as part of The Biggest Loser Couples show.
The determined couple, who missed out on making it on the reality show, are currently coming seventh place in the hit television show’s Biggest Loser Club Second Chance team after losing a staggering 52.1 kg.
Last week Ms Curran was announced as the biggest loser of the week after shedding 3.1kg, topping the other 20 contestants.
Ms Curran started at 113.5kg and now weighs 94.2kg, while Mr Debono began the challenge at 169.8kg and currently weighs 137kg.
Ms Curran told the News they had stepped up their fitness regime in an effort to shed the pounds to win the competition.
“We now do four to five training sessions a week and are about to the start spin classes,” she said. “We are still aiming to get to the number one position. We want to win.”
To win the competition, the couple need to lose 20 per cent of their body weight by 20 April.
If the couple are the successful winners they will appear on Channel 10’s The Biggest Loser Couples finale show.
Ms Curran got the opportunity to meet last year’s television series runner-up Alison Braun at Westfield Fountain Gate this week.
