NARRE Warren North’s Jodie Curran and her fiancé Craig Debono shed a whopping 47.2kg between them as part of The Biggest Loser Couples show.
The couple, who missed out on a place on the reality show, were selected to take part in a special off-screen second chance challenge.
The couple came sixth place overall in the hit television show’s Biggest Loser Club second chance team.
While the television series went to air, the couple have been losing weight at home.
To win the competition, the couple had to lose 20 per cent of their body weight by 20 April. “We feel we could have done better but we were placed in the middle of field so we’re happy with that,” Ms Curran said. “The both of us are feeling so much more happier within ourselves. We’re fitter and healthier.”
The 38-year-old said she was now a size 16, as opposed to originally being a size 22.
“I’ve also dropped four bra sizes,” she said. Ms Curran started the competition at 113.5kg, while 39-year-old Mr Debono began the challenge at 169.8kg.
The couple were flown up to Sydney for The Biggest Loser Couples finale on Monday night.
“We got to mingle with the contestants on the show at the after party,” Ms Curran said.
The winners of the Biggest Loser Club second chance team were friends Ben Powell from Canberra and South Australian Kate Smith who lost a combined total of 78.5kg.
