HALLAM Primary School marked Anzac Day last Friday by holding an assembly organised by the school captains.
Alwyn Charlesworth from the Box Hill RSL and Robert Paice from the Vietnam Veterans Education Team visited the school and talked about life during World War II with the Grade 5 and 6 students.
School captains Shari and Denis, and vice-captains Georgia and George organised the school commemorative day.
The school choir sang the national anthem, while the students held a minute’s silence to remember those who fought for the country.
The students made a wreath, which was laid at the base of the school’s flagpole.
