A TEACHER from Fountain Gate Secondary College was wheeling and dealing on the television show Deal or No Deal this week.
Sally Edwards said she felt like a rock star after appearing on the show on Monday night.
Ms Edwards walked away with $27,000 from the game show.
The 33-year-old recorded the show at the studio back in March and watched this week’s episode surrounded by friends and family at her home.
“We had a Deal or No Deal party,” she said.
“When I was watching it I couldn’t believe it was me on there.”
Ms Edwards said she was a fan of the hit game show, which revolves around the opening of a set of numbered cases each of which contains a different cash prize. The contents of all of the boxes are known at the start of the game, but the specific location of the prize is unknown.
The contestant begins choosing cases to be removed from play and the amount inside each choice is immediately revealed.
Throughout the game, after a predetermined number of boxes have been opened, the banker offers the contestant an amount of money to quit the game and the player answers the question by saying “deal” and accepting the offer, or “no deal” and rejecting the offer and continuing to play the game.
Ms Edwards will receive her prize within 30 days and is hoping to spend it on a long awaited holiday.
