Sign on for music career kick-start

BANDS are encouraged to enter this year’s Casey-Spectrum Entertainment’s Pushstart Battle of the Bands competition.
Last year’s winner, My Own Enemy, went on to win the regional final and the state final and now get airplay on Triple J radio station.
Heat one for the competition will be held on 3 July at the Cranbourne Public Hall from 6pm to 11pm.
The second heat at the Narre Community Learning Centre will be held on Friday 10 July from 6pm to 11pm.
Winners of the final will receive a recording and rehearsal package, courtesy of Pony Music.
Application forms are available fromwww.insideinfo.casey.vic.gov.au, City of Casey customer service and youth information centres, or by emailing ccogger@casey.vic.gov.au.
All applications must be received by close of business on Monday 1 June. Competitors must be between 14 and 21 years old.
Tickets to all events are available at the door for $10.
The 2009 City of Casey-Spectrum Entertainment Pushstart Battle of the Bands is a fully supervised, drug, alcohol and smoke free, all ages event.
