CASEY Council officers will monitor the safety of eucalypts in parts of the Timbarra estate at Berwick, following requests from residents.
The size and state of gum trees on nature strips in Coowarra Way and surrounding streets is bothering some people.
Edrington Ward councillor Simon Curtis has asked the council to prepare a report on the trees.
The motion was carried unanimously at Tuesday’s council meeting.
The residents’ request coincides with the final draft of Casey Council’s revegetation strategy, one aim of which is to increase and enhance native flora and fauna across the municipality.
