Bergman in bright spirits

Despite being forced from the ground through injury, Miller Bergman was in good spirits after his debut last week.

Bergman was a late in for North Melbourne last week and after a solid start, was subbed off with a shoulder injury.

“I was about to jump into the car and head to the VFL game, (then) I got a call from ‘Nobes’ (Roos senior coach David Noble) saying ‘you ready for the game this week?’,” the Berwick and Dandy Stingrays product told North Melbourne media.

“I said ‘yeah about to get in the car and go’, and he goes ‘nah, for us!’

“I wasn’t expecting it at all, I couldn’t believe it, it was one of the best feelings I have felt.”

Although finishing the game on the bench with an injury, Bergman was still extremely grateful of the opportunity to play for the AFL club he grew up supporting.
