Saturday Sharp-Shooters

It’s that time of the week again.

Ahead of today’s Outer East Premier Division netball, it’s time to take a look back at the best sharp-shooters of the competition, and who found the net the most in last weekend’s fixtures.

With the scores from Woori Yallock and Pakenham yet to be added and Erin Bell having the weekend off, the Premier Division appears it could have a new clubhouse leader.

Wandin’s Abby Gedge shot truly on 37 occasions on Saturday in her sides 19 goal victory over Beaconsfield.

Gedge unofficially leads Woori Yallock’s sharp-shooter Elizabeth Murphy by nine goals, but is suspect to results coming in from the weekend.

Narre Warren’s Jemma Osborne thrived in the absence of Bell, scoring a whopping 49 goals, making her the leader for the weekend ahead of Gedge.

The top four resemble the leaders of a peloton, with just 27 goals separating first and fourth, but 30 between fourth and fifth.

Suspect to change, the top-five reads:

Abby Gedge (Wandin) 219

Elizabeth Murphy (Woori Yallock) 210*

Erin Bell (Narre Warren) 197

Hayley Howard (Olinda Ferny Creek) 192

Jessica Black (Upwey Tecoma) 160
