Two in three for Wickers

Berwick has secured its second win of the season after a sensational win over Park Orchards.

The Wickers led at every change, including a 40-point buffer at the final change, before the Sharks mounted a final term comeback.

The home side kicked six goals to one in the final stanza to sound the alarm bells in the Wickers coaching box.

But Clint Evans’ men held on to record a compelling 13.9 (87) to 11.13 (79) victory.

Ashton Williamson’s three majors was well supported by Bryce Rutherford’s two, who was named best afield.

The win surges the Wickers 10 points clear of North Ringwood in last place.
