Art winter warmer

FOR the entire month of July, Casey’s eighth annual Winter Arts Program will be providing loads of events throughout the city, offering something to people of all ages.
The program showcases the skills and talents of local artists and arts groups through music and theatre performances, visual art and crafts, talks, workshops and demonstrations.
This year’s Winter Arts Program features Caseymade – an exhibition of works by local visual artists at The Factory Rehearsal Centre for the Arts in Cranbourne, a series of professional development workshops for artists and an art and craft workshop for teenagers.
In officially opening the program on 22 June, City of Casey mayor Geoff Ablett said the program had become a cultural landmark on the city’s annual calendar of events.
“It marks us as an exciting, vibrant city with lots to see and do, where cultural horizons can be expanded, and there are opportunities for arts practitioners and arts lovers alike. It is a truly inspiring program, offering a myriad of opportunities to watch, listen, move, learn and enjoy.”
