Warning after night of pain

A NARRE Warren man who was the victim of a serious assault at a local nightclub has said he will never set foot in the nightspot again.
Aron (who did not want his surname used) said this week he wanted to warn others about the attack at Club 1422 on Thursday 9 July which left him with a broken jaw.
He was punched once in the face, with the blow shattering the left side of his jaw and also breaking bones on the right side of his face.
Aron was taken by ambulance to the Dandenong Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery to have metal plates and screws inserted in his face to stabilise his jaw.
“My face feels numb as a result of the injuries,” he said.
The 22-year-old said it wasn’t the first time he had heard of incidents occurring at the Lauderdale Road club, which is just metres away from the Narre Warren police station.
“A mate of mine got hurt in the same place a couple of months ago,” he said.
Club 1422 owner Lorraine Sampson said they had minimal trouble at the nightclub because of the large amount of security at the venue.
She said they had an ID box, so every patron that entered was scanned in.
“This means they’ll get caught if something happens,” she said.
Casey detectives charged a 20-year-old Narre Warren man with recklessly causing serious injury and intentionally causing injury.
Navid Jabali fronted the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment, served by intensive corrections order.
