Local artists unveil works

THE works of 25 local artists will be showcased when the Provenance art group presents its exhibition at the Old Cheese Factory this weekend.
As part of the Casey Winter Arts Program, the group of established and emerging artists will display a variety of works – all different in style, topic and medium.
Group tutor and internationally trained artist Calvin Bell said all the artworks were designed to suit both traditional and ultra modern homes, as well as corporate offices and businesses.
“There will be large decor and statement paintings designed to make a real impact, together with brilliant landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, florals and abstracts,” he said.
“It will include small paintings, large paintings, oils, watercolours, acrylics and pastels.”
The Provenance art group paint together at weekly art workshops.
Mr Bell said as this was only be the third time the group would showcase a total exhibition in their local community, the paintings would be offered with a big discount off regular exhibition and gallery prices.
The exhibition will be open to the public from the night of Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July.
