HALLAM Senior College has made the finals of the 2009 Victorian Training Awards.
Now in its 55th year, the Victorian Training Awards are the state’s pre-eminent awards recognising achievements in the training sector.
The school is one of three finalists in the McDonald’s Victorian Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools Excellence Award.
Principal Anne Martin said the school community was thrilled to be a finalist for the second year running.
“It’s a real accolade for the school and an indication we are doing the right thing for the young people in relation to their schooling choices,” she said.
The school has 15 VET program available for students including construction, hairdressing, hospitality, and dance.
