Gold day for charity – Starlight found

STUDENTS at Kambrya College, Berwick left their uniforms behind and donned their regular clothes to raise money for the Starlight Foundation.
The free dress day and gold coin donation was organised by the VCAL Year-12 students in conjunction with the SRC. Their efforts helped the school raise about $1700 for the foundation.
“The students nominated the Starlight Foundation,” teacher and SRC convener Ben Forbes said.
“It was great to see young people doing something to support people less fortunate than themselves. It’s a fantastic thing.” Some of the students also sold dessert-style food during the day to help raise money for the cause.
