Jazz to flow through park

MUSIC enthusiasts are in for a treat this Saturday with Jazz by the Lake to be held at Berwick’s Wilson Botanic Park.
Jazz fans have been invited to enjoy the musical evening amid the tranquillity of 39 hectares of gardens and lakes.
Two jazz bands, The Louisiana Shakers and The Maple Leaf All Stars MkIII, will entertain the crowd with four hours of New Orleans and Dixieland jazz.
People have also been urged to join in with the swing patrol and dance or sit back and chill out by the lake.
The event runs from 5pm until 9pm at Wilson Botanic Park, 668 Princes Highway Berwick.
Admission is $15 adults, $12 seniors, $8 children and $38 for a family of two adults and four children.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate from 4pm. Limited parking is available in the park, so take advantage of the free shuttle bus to the park from the alternative parking spot at Monash University Campus, Clyde Road, Berwick.
Bring a rug, cushion or a chair to sit on the lawn at the park’s amphitheatre.
Purchase some hot food, drinks or an ice cream at the park or bring a picnic.
