SPORTS clubs across Casey can spruce up their club colours by applying for State Government funding.
The $1.65 million ‘Our Club, Our Future’ sporting uniform grants program gives clubs the opportunity to buy team uniforms.
The grants will provide up to $1000 for uniform clothing and footwear. Priority will be given to disadvantaged and junior clubs.
Minister for Sport, Recreation and Youth Affairs James Merlino said the grants would allow even the smallest clubs to look the part while competing.
He says grassroots sport is thriving in the area but many clubs are lacking the resources to properly equip their members.
“The new uniforms will play an important part in building local sports culture, helping to establish a club’s character and build morale among team-mates,” Mr Merlino said.
Applicants can contact the Grants Information Line on 1300 366 356.
