POLICE are looking for a thief who punched a woman in the stomach and stole her purse while she waited for a bus in Narre Warren last month.
Police said the 28-year-old woman was waiting for the bus on the corner of Fleetwood Drive and Redgum Place when a male approached her from behind and grabbed her about 6am on 26 August.
The man punched the woman several times and took off with her purse after he attempted to take her entire bag.
Police described the man as having a dark complexion, possible of Indian descent, and was wearing a black beanie, was unshaven and had bad body odour.
