CASEY Council was forced to scrap a planning meeting on Tuesday night after only four of the eleven councillors showed up.
The five items on the agenda will be held over to the next planning committee meeting.
Councillors present were Simon Curtis, Daniel Mulino, Wayne Smith and Kevin Bradford.
Absent were mayor Geoff Ablett, Cr Sam Aziz, Cr Shar Balmes, Cr Karen Baxter, Cr Lynette Keleher, Cr Amanda Stapledon and Cr Lorraine Wreford.
A minimum of six councillors must be present for a meeting to proceed.
Cr Curtis said it was disappointing that the meeting was cancelled, particularly as about 20 people were seated in the public gallery.
“We spent some quality time talking with the people (in the gallery) and all items will appear on next month’s agenda,” he said.
“It is disappointing, as we like to process the items in a timely manner for applicants and objectors.”
