CASEY’S older residents are encouraged to contribute to the city’s Ageing Positively in Casey plan.
The plan sets out council’s priorities in meeting the challenges of an ageing population.
City of Casey mayor Geoff Ablett said some community members could form a steering committee that would help identify issues relevant to older residents.
“Older people within the community have gathered a lifetime of knowledge and insight, so I encourage them to consider being involved in the very important work being undertaken by the council to continue planning and providing for an ageing population,” he said.
The nomination form, an information sheet and the steering group’s terms of reference are available from Emma Wilkinson on 9705 5200.
